Hi Iain, Dont know a lot about stone circles but very intrested in ghost hunting in castles or other places with activities. The reason for joining this site was to meet like minded people and hopefully get involved with investigations but i dont think paranormal discoverytake in strays. I recently carried out a night investigation in castle menzies, heard some good stories about the castle but got to say not much happened the night i was there. Would like to do more investigations.

Hiya, yeah 93!
I am one and same. This seems to be the usual form for Darren. He will get back to you eventually. He does have some health issues, which probably explains his tendency to go radio-silent for a few months/weeks. I haven't heard from him in ages either. He did mention you to me, actually, the last time we spoke. He was intending to bring you into the lodge. I will try to get in contact with him and Gordon as well, see what he is saying.

93/93.

Hmm what happened ? I sent a reply but where did it go? Anyway, it might be good to meet up with yourself and David Cowan at some point if it's possible.

In reply to your earlier question about my scariest place visited, well, I have experienced so many things now with this team work. Many things I have experienced have not struck me as scary until a few seconds or even minutes later when I have finally worked out that it wasn't due to another team member or other explainable cause. Then I get a bit scared but not too much lol
I've heard disembodied voices, laughter, footsteps, have heard doors being slammed, have been touched and have seen the odd weird thing but never a full blown apparition. Recently in the Edinburgh vaults I saw a large candle move forwards and lower to the floor (not fall).
On top of this we have recorded many voices which weren't heard by anyone present at the time. I think this is equally as scary.

Favourite places visited to date has to be Castle Menzies. There's always something happening there.

What kind of info do you mean? The nearest stone circle to me is Balgarthno Stone circle near South Road, Dundee. Don't really know much about it to be truthful aalthough I pass it often enough. There's a photo on our website somewhere. There is a standing stone in the grounds of the Landmark Hotel and another on the golf course at Camperdown Park so I beleive (haven't seen them myself).
