In times gone by when the Clan Chief had bodyguatrds, anyone who wanted to apply for the job had to be able to lift the stone above his head to prove that he was strong enough. The stone sits outside to the right of the main entrance to the castle.

In times gone by the Chief's bodyguard would have had to have been able to lift the stone to prove himself as fit for the job.
