Photographic Anomalies

Surely if we know what certain substances look like when photographed using our own equipment then we can exclude these things if anomalies are caught on camera during an investigation. We may not be able to prove what a certain anomaly is but we can deduce what it is not.
Mike and Tori's Experiment
When researching the differing theories on the orb phenomenon, many people have suggested that this is caused by particles in the air, like dust or water vapour etc. so in order to find out if we can recreate this we intend to carry out a series of experiments. The camera used for these experiments is an EPSOM PHOTOPC 2100Z. We took one picture in normal mode and one in night shot mode for each substance tested. We tested test the following: dirt, steam, animal hair, ashes and smoke.
Dirt/ earth – we took a dustpan and brush out to the garden. Due to nice dry weather the ground was very dry. We swept some dry ground to get a fine powdery dirt/dust. I placed a spoonful of dirt in the palm of my hand and blew it away. You can see the particles being blown away from my hand.

Ashes – we made a bonfire in a bucket in the back garden. Once it had gone out and cooled down we took all the bits of burnt wood out and with a mortar and pestle we ground up the charcoal to produce a very fine powder. Again holding the fine ash powder in my hand I blew it away as we took a photo. You can see the particles being blown away from my hand.

Smoke – we took some dried herbs and essential oils and blended them together to create incense in powder form. We took a heat resistant bowl and put some salt in the bottom of it and on top of this we placed a lit bit of charcoal. We sprinkled the charcoal with the incense powder so it smouldered thus creating smoke. We took some pictures of the smoking incense and as you can an see no anomalies were present and the camera appears not to have even detected the smoke, which was plain to see with the naked eye.

Steam – we brought a pot of water to boil so it steamed. We took a picture of it with the light on in normal mode then a picture in normal mode with the light off then a few with night vision mode. As you can see there were no anomalies in any of the pictures and the steam is clearly visible.

Animal hair – we brushed our dogs and cat and collected all the hair from the brush then we teased out the hair letting it fall. We took some pictures of this in normal mode and night vision mode and, as you can see, there appears to be some small orbs in these pictures. Does this mean that larger particles in the air could show up as orbs on the camera?. . .

ESP Tests

The Paranormal Discovery team carried out several ESP tests as a follow up to tests done last year. Has there been any improvement since last year? Results will be available soon on our clairvoyance, telepathy and remote viewing tests.
Glass divination was also used in a unique experiment to gain information which none of the attending investigators could have known themselves. More details to follow . . .
